If your child is using Oh Lila in nursery there are some things you can do to help your child at home.

Ask…. your child to tell you about the Oh Lila story. If you have the home activity pack you can use this as a guide.

Help…. your child to identify adults that they trust. Perhaps you want to focus on times that you may not be available or present. Who else can they go to e.g. grandparents, other family members, nursery teachers, child minders etc.

Encourage.… your child to speak to you or another appropriate adult whey they have a problem or are worried. Remind them of how Oh Lila felt better when she got help.

Skills…. by using the Oh Lila resource your child will be encouraged to develop social skills such as communication and problem solving. Talk to your child about how they could use these skills.
